I will work for food to provide the members of the local community as well as the children of Dafur with the necessities they deserve as fellow human beings. Not enough attention is given to this ongoing problem of malnourishment and I can only do so much to help those in need. Originally, I became interested in the cause behind Will Work For Food when my friend David Ferrara brought the effort to Georgetown University. With my major concentrating in Health Care Management and Policy, I was intrigued at the possibility of positively impacting the health situations of others. Participating in this cause made me realize how fortunate I am, which furthered my interest in fundraising.
Our first community volunteer endeavor took place at the DC Central Kitchen.

I am currently serving as the WILL WORK FOR FOOD Campus Rep at Georgetown University.

I was introduced to WILL WORK FOR FOOD by Kenichi Osawa, a close friend on the organization's staff.

I WORK FOR FOOD because I am intrigued by the duality of the service work. Not only does the organization bring aid to malnourished children in Darfur, but it also directly affects our local communities. After talking more with Kenichi about the organization, I decided I wanted to help by bringing WILL WORK FOR FOOD to my school, Georgetown University.
