Will Work for Food at GW allows students the unique possibility to save lives abroad while at the same time doing good for the greater DC Metropolitan area. In order to start making a difference now, all you have to do is register, perform any kind of community service, and ask a friend or family member to sponsor your work by making a donation. You can even get sponsored for something you already do anyway. Every cent of these donations goes towards the purchase and distribution of Plumpy'nut by Medicins Sans Frontiers (Doctors Without Borders). Plumpy nut, with a 95% success rate in fighting child malnutrition, is a ready to use food source that requires no refrigeration or preparation. By working with Will Work For Food you can double the impact of the service you perform.

You can get involved with GW Will Work for Food at any level - all you have to do is create a profile. To create a profile, simply register at www.willworkforfood.org and join the GW group. For information on Work Efforts and upcoming meetings/events at GW, please also join our facebook group.

Feel free to contact your campus rep at GW with any questions:

Mission Statement:

WILL WORK FOR FOOD gives students a unique opportunity to solve a global problem by taking action locally. Participants volunteer in their communities and at the same time raise money to send nutritional supplements to malnourished children around the world.
