Originally from Bethesda, Maryland,  I am now Senior at the University of Michigan studying History and preparing for medical school. I am currently serving as the Director of Development for WILL WORK FOR FOOD. In this role, I am a part of an ongoing effort to raise overhead and administrative funds for the organization by applying for grants.

During the upcoming year I'll be conducting clinical pediatric endocrinology research at the National Institute of Health before attending medical school.

Over my summer in 2008, I received funding from the University of Michigan to live and work in Durban, South Africa for three months. While in Durban, I conducted HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis co-infection research and volunteered both at a local urban hospital and an orphanage.

My interest in global health and its complexities has coincided with my involvement with WILL WORK FOR FOOD. Living, working and visiting developing countries has exposed me to the several health related crises that can be addressed through raised awareness and various forms of treatments. Among such crises, is the ongoing issue of child malnutrition which predominates in the war-torn Darfur region. Providing hope to the children in need of this region is an imperative task both for our future and for those directly affected.

I urge you to join myself and others in this campaign against child malnutrition.
