I am currently serving as one of the WILL WORK FOR FOOD Campus Rep at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

I'm a sophomore at UW-Madison. Since arriving at college and declaring a political science major I've found it increasingly difficult to remain disillusioned with the sterile yet cozy city of Madison. True to my optimistic self, I believe that absolutely everyone's heart aches at the thought of sick and dying children; most of us just don't let ourselves think about it because it makes us feel uncomfortable, sad or helpless.

This is exactly why I'm interested in WILL WORK FOR FOOD. With WWFF volunteers and sponsors can not only help provide nutritional supplements to children in Darfur but the program will help people face the painful realities of malnutrition because it is allowing them to be part of the solution. It's easy to ignore problems we cannot fix, but now as part of the solution, we can start opening our eyes to the world around us.

So let's get moving! I am working on volunteering weekly with the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County, and I will also participate in various philanthropies through the Greek community and my sorority, Pi Beta Phi. I'll keep you posted!
