Born in a small, country town, a lot of people know me for my accent. But, they also know me for my hug heart that I was blessed with since I was a kid. I grew up in a day care all my life, so my love to help those in need and around me has always been a passion in my heart. However, my true passion is for the physically and mentally handicapped. Not knowing where my future education plans would be, somehow I ended up At Appalachian State University where I am now studying physical therapy, specializing in handicapped children. At ASU, I immediately felt like it was "home away from home." As my orientation leaders told me in freshmen orientation two years ago, Boone is full of mountains of opportunities. With so many open door that have opened up to me, WWFD is one of these I truly want to invest and make a change to my school here at APP. Helping people in my community and in this world is something that could change Boone and this world.
