The Association for Women in Communications

The Association for Women in Communications is a national organization that aims to bring together women who excel in all aspects of the communications field - print and broadcast journalism, public relations, advertising, marketing, graphic-design, photography, etc. In today's fast-paced society, it is important to cross disciplines and use different forms of media in order to deliver your message effectively. AWC at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is a hard-working group of young women who are interested in networking and taking advantage of the resources around them. We are very involved in our community and volunteer in order to give back. We participate in the Wisconsin Public Television member drives, Relay for Life, Girls Inc., and many other events.
