SWAP is a club on campus that knits scarves for homeless shelters (DeLonis Center) and hospitals (Mott's). We also teach people how to knit and provide members with supplies (needles and yarn) for free! Knitting is a fun social event, along with being a stress-reducer. We are also trying to expand our "purpose" from just knitting to educating ourselves and getting involved in the community. Our goals are to knit with residents in nursing homes and spend time with them. We also want to spend time in homeless shelters and getting to know the community!

Last year, we donated about 150 scarves and this year we hope to exceed that. We also hope to enlarge SWAP and gather knitters from all over campus!

WWFF will be holding a "knit-a-thon" with us on Oct. 3 to raise money by knitting scarves and making blankets. We look forward to making many items!
